Bush Kindy Australia is excited to be presenting at the Moreton Bay Early Learning Conference, bringing practical, hands-on professional learning to early childhood educators passionate about nature play, outdoor learning, and child-led discovery.
Join founder Bec Burch for an inspiring workshop, Nature’s Loose Parts: Curiosity, Creativity and Connection Through Nature Pedagogy. This interactive session explores how everyday natural materials such as sticks, leaves, bark and stones can become powerful tools for learning, creativity, inquiry, and connection.
Grounded in real-world bush kindy practice, participants will explore how nature’s loose parts support child-led learning, foster curiosity, and create meaningful opportunities for open-ended play. Educators will engage in hands-on experiences while discovering practical strategies to embed nature pedagogy into their own settings.
The workshop will also explore intentional teaching approaches, risk-benefit assessment, and supportive risk management practices that build children’s confidence, capability, resilience, and connection with the natural world.

This workshop shares theoretical & practical knowledge and ideas, to embed nature pedagogy into your existing curriculum and learning spaces.

The 3 day Bush Kindy Leader Course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to set up and lead a Nature Program – Bush/Beach Kindergarten/Forest School in Early Childhood & OSHC services.

This inspiring workshop unpacks the theory, showcases real-world examples and equips you with strategies to suppoty children’s risk-taking, dynamic decision making and safety in outoodor environments.

This workshop equips educators with practical skills to incorporate nature-based learning approaches, such as Bush or Beach Kindergarten and Forest School principles, into early childhood and OSHC settings.
