The Bush Kindy Leader Course is a three-day professional development program for early childhood educators, designed to help you confidently plan and deliver a bush kindy or nature play program in your own setting.
Grounded in nature pedagogy and aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), this course connects theory with practical, real-world application. You’ll explore how to create meaningful learning experiences within Australian natural environments, working with local landscapes, native flora and fauna, and acknowledging the deep connection of First Nations peoples to Country.
Led by experienced Bush Kindy educators who are actively working in the field, this training focuses on practical, achievable strategies – not ideal scenarios. You’ll gain tried and tested methods, along with a training manual, templates, and guidance to support compliance and risk management.
You’ll also receive ongoing support, so you can confidently embed outdoor learning into your everyday practice.

This workshop shares theoretical & practical knowledge and ideas, to embed nature pedagogy into your existing curriculum and learning spaces.
3 DAYS
The 3 day Bush Kindy Leader Course will provide you with the knowledge and skills to set up and lead a Nature Program – Bush/Beach Kindergarten/Forest School in Early Childhood & OSHC services.

This inspiring workshop unpacks the theory, showcases real-world examples and equips you with strategies to suppoty children’s risk-taking, dynamic decision making and safety in outoodor environments.

This workshop equips educators with practical skills to incorporate nature-based learning approaches, such as Bush or Beach Kindergarten and Forest School principles, into early childhood and OSHC settings.
